Sparkle ‘Sensitive’

The Sparkle is an instrument that makes very light tinkling sounds. The sound can be used on its own but also easily combined with other instruments and certainly with singing bowls and Koshi's.

Sparkle's design is always different due to the use of natural materials such as bamboo and leather.

As of 2024, there are three versions of the Sparkle:

- The Sparkle ‘Standard’ with 4 sound tubes and ring

- The Sparkle ‘Sensitive’ with 8 thin sound tubes without a ring

- The Sparkle ‘Inbetween’ with 8 thicker sound tubes without ring

So the Sparkle Sensitive has thin tubes that activate only each other, with no form of clapper. This gives the most subtle form of tinkling sound, intended for one-on-one sound work, close to the receiver. This Sparkle is slightly smaller than the average ‘standard’ version, about 14cm high and 9cm thick, depending on the thickness of the bamboo.

With its slightly thicker tubes, the Sparkle ‘Inbetween’ is between the ‘Standard’ and ‘Sensitive’ in terms of intensity.
