Octopus C# Ragadesh 9 - Stainless

Ragadesh is a unique tuning within handpan tunings. A tuning with its own distinct character and atmosphere. 

Ragadesh is a mixolydian scale. Mixolydian is often used within music when it is allowed to sound upbeat, but with a more energetic and open atmosphere. 

This vote is actually identical to the Celtic Minor- either Amara-construction. One essential difference is that Ragadesh more in the major spheres zit. It is mixolydian, but that structure is strongly related to major. 

Like Celtic Minor and Amara is also used at Ragadesh consistently skipped one tone This is the sixth tone in the sequence, At Ragadesh is that the the major sixth. Skipping this note creates a more open and peaceful sound. It is very similar to pentatonic, although this would require skipping another note (the major second). 

This open, energetic and upbeat atmosphere makes Ragadesh into a very fine mood maker. It is a tuning that is easy to play, and easily manages to produce a distinctive sound.

Stainless steel
Stainless steel is characterised by medium to above-average reverberation, and a nice clear sound. The mid-high fresh sound is something that comes out clearly with the sound of stainless steel. It has a bit less (top) high and a bit less low than Ember Steel, but moves a bit more into the (high) middle.

This makes stainless steel a fine and fresh sound, which today forms a nice middle ground within all the different sounds in terms of materials. It has slightly less reverb than Ember Steel, but clearly more reverb than nitrided steel.
