Then our Handpan workshops offer the ideal opportunity. In these workshops, we cover topics such as: How to make the handpan sound beautiful. Playing a range of rhythms Playing together Improvising The history of the instrument During the week, we offer private workshops for 1–5 people, and on the third Sunday of every month we run a group workshop for 8 people.

    It’s only once you’ve had a handpan at home for a few weeks that you’ll know if it’s the right instrument for you. That’s why you can rent a handpan from us first to find out if it suits you.   With your hire handpan, you’ll receive: Five weeks’ playing time A set of online tutorial videos, so you can get off to a good start straight away A bag to carry your handpan safely Personal advice on which handpan suits you best We recommend that beginners first attend a workshop at our shop. In just a few hours, you’ll learn the basics, after which you’ll get more out of your five weeks’ rental.   If, after the rental period, you decide to buy a handpan costing 1,000 euros or more, the full rental fee will be deducted from the purchase price. So you’ll only pay for the instrument you take home.

    Buy your bespoke handpan

    Your own custom-made handpan

    Nowhere else in Europe will you find as many handpans in one place as at our shop in Driebergen, but sometimes the size you like just isn’t in stock. Or that one specific handpan from your favourite maker. No problem! In most cases, we can pass on your requirements to the maker, and you’ll have your unique handpan on your lap before you know it.

    This also applies to custom layouts, additional base pads and some extended scales. Perhaps you’d like to add a base pad?

    For years I had been looking for a handpan, but try making a choice amongst the multitude of handpans. I eventually ended up at Handpanshop.nl and I was very well helped here in my search. Everyone who works there is patient and has a passion for their craft. In addition, the shop is also very nicely decorated, which gives you a calming feeling. I will certainly be visiting more often even if I have to make a detour for it. Are you looking for a handpan in the Netherlands then there is no better shop than this one. Handpans, tranquility, and wonderful coffee. They have it all!

    Yesterday, Sjaak gave me some brilliant help in the lovely shop, which is full of all sorts of different instruments. I had a personalised shopping session to help me find my new handpan. It was really nice that the handpans were played one by one, so you could really listen and see which one appealed to you most. Afterwards, I was able to play the final three – the ones left over after the initial selection – to get a feel for them myself. I’m absolutely delighted with my handpan and all the advice I received. * I’ve been there several times now and have also ordered items online. I’m incredibly satisfied with the customer-friendly service they provide every single time. They always think along with you, look for solutions and go out of their way to help when things don’t go as hoped.

    What a shop!! I booked an appointment to have a look at handpans. They take all the time in the world to let you try out various instruments. After two hours, without any rush, I found a suitable handpan and went home happy, with a lovely new handpan to add to my collection.
